good morning? i guess?
i know i promised to post album reviews and music-related articles, but i think i'm just gonna use this site as a public journal. i tried writing a couple reviews for albums i like but i realized i kinda suck at it. i'm better at making album lists and playlists than writing in-depth reviews about specific releases. i'll be showing you guys any new vinyl/cassette pickups i get, and also be posting about things that happen in my life.
i guess this post is the perfect place to start doing that. if you couldn't already tell from the website name, my name is julius. i'm currently 16 years old and living in connecticut. i love music, especially math rock and electronic music. i love hiking, coding, cats, making food, and playing the drums. i am allergic to cats, which is quite hard to cope with. i hate spotify, black olives, and people who make video calls in public. i have adhd but it's not that much of a burden as you think it'd be. i think people who have adhd like to make it their entire personality, and blame all their wrongdoings on the fact that they have it. in my opinion it's better to just own up to your mistakes.
i am about to start my junior year of high school, and i feel very behind. not on my summer reading assignments, but with high school in general. i haven't visited any colleges or universities yet, and i hopefully will start doing that soon. also i haven't gotten my license or a car yet, and i'm turning 17 soon so i better get on that. my friends are all getting jobs, and while i've applied to my fair share of workplaces, i haven't gotten any responses yet. maybe i need to go talk to the manager at some places. i'd love to work at a record store or a skate shop, but i don't live near any good ones. oh well.
